The City of Unalaska Department of Parks Culture, and Recreation provides recreation programs and services for the community of Unalaska, a beautiful town of 4,500 people located on the island of Unalaska in the Aleutian chain.
The department publishes a comprehensive Activity Guide three times per year to provide the citizens and visitors of our wonderful community with information about upcoming events and programs. The department provides arts and culture, special event, fitness, sports, wellness, youth and teen, and other areas of programming. The Activity Guide is made available to the public at the beginning of our three programming seasons: Summer (June – August), Fall (September – December), and Winter/Spring (January – May) In addition to events and programs the department also maintains a spacious community center with workout and multipurpose facilities, an Aquatics Center with 25 yard pool, waterslide, sauna, and work out facilities, and the Unalaska Public Library. Operational hours and contact information for all of these facilities can be found in the department’s Activity Guide.
In an effort to provide this information to the public in as many formats as possible the Activity Guide can be accessed here on the app store via the department’s Activity Guide App, on the City’s web page at: https://www.ci.unalaska.ak.us/parksrec, and on our Facebook page.
